ATTENTION! i am better! this was what i wrote durin' my 'down' time!

Depression hurts… Not just the girl Caught tight in it’s grips But those that love her too She thinks that she is all alone She just can’t see the truth She feels like she’s The only one Oh, but if she only knew “No one really loves me,” Is what she tends to think. “No one really cares,” As she takes another drink. She keeps it to herself, The hurt, the pain, the grief. If I never take another breath, Oh, what a huge relief. She hides it well The heartache & the strife She just can’t let it show But some still notice The ones that care The ones she doesn’t even know are there But is it too far gone for them to slow? She thinks she’s weak & they’re so strong She begins to die inside Her soul is losing It’s happy song To this monstrous battle cry The ones that love her See her slipping away She’s silently calling out They want to help But she resists She’s too far in denial If she won’t let them They can’t help She’ll have to help herself Her girlfriends try To break the cycle Yet get the same results They all get scared They just can’t lose her Lose her to herself They ask the Dr.’s Behind her back But somehow, she finds out Her emotions flare Her soul on fire She’s done this to herself All the Dr.s & their “help” Never seem to work. She just wants to be her again With all her normal quirks. Once she calms down She begins to see That someone really cares But can she find That girl again? That one from long ago? She starts to notice That they all love her & just want all this through So with their help Their love, their light The old her’s peeking through She realizes she can be well again With support & determination Be that girl from then Now here she is today A lighter shade of blue & one step closer to Heaven One step closer to getting through
